2018/10/13

DUSHANBE, Oct. 12, China is willing to better dovetail development strategies with Belarus, said Chinese Premier Li Keqiang here on Friday.

Li made the remarks during a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas on the sidelines of the 17th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Heads of Government in Tajik capital Dushanbe.

Speaking highly of the rapid development of China-Belarus cooperation, Li said bilateral cooperation on Belt and Road construction has reaped an early harvest with the successful implementation of the China-Belarus industrial park.

China stands ready to better dovetail its development strategies with Belarus, promote win-win practical cooperation, intensify cultural and people-to-people exchanges and expand cooperation in the areas of tourism and education, he said.

Rumas said his country would like to enhance cooperation with China under the Belt and Road Initiative via the platform of the China-Belarus industrial park and take the opportunity of this year's Belarus-China Tourism Year program to boost tourism cooperation.

Belarus would also like to strengthen cooperation with China on education and between the universities and colleges in the two countries, he added.
