On July 6, 2022, Ambassador Wei Hongtian paid a courtesy call on the Minister of State with responsibility for Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries & Cooperatives, Sen. the Hon. Adrian Thomas.

Ambassador Wei congratulated Mr. Thomas on his new position as the Minister of State with responsibility for Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries & Cooperatives. He said that agriculture played a significant role in economic development and was an important part of the mutually beneficial cooperation of the two countries. He expressed that the Chinese side would make positive efforts to promote the bilateral agricultural cooperation.

Minister Thomas thanked the Chinese government for its long-time support to the agricultural development of Grenada. He expressed that the two countries had good potential in cooperation in the fields of agriculture and the Ministry would spare no efforts to bring the bilateral agricultural cooperation to a new level.
