Chinese Embassy Donates Materials to Schools in St. David

On March 23, the handover ceremonies of a batch of materials including desks, chairs, books and bookshelves donated by the Chinese Embassy in Grenada, joined by Chinese Ambassador to Grenada, H.E. Wei Hongtian and Hon. Oliver Joseph, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for St. David, were held in Westerhall Secondary School and St. David Catholic Secondary School respectively.

In his speech, Ambassador Wei applauded the close cooperation between China and Grenada in various fields, especially education and human resources. Many Grenadians benefit from scholarships and short-term training courses offered by the Chinese government. The Ambassador believes these materials will improve the condition of the schools, and he encouraged students to pursue further studying in China.

MP Joseph expressed his sincere gratitude for the Chinese Embassy and listed how Grenada, St. David in particular, has benefited from the support from China. He also showed confidence in the further development of Grenada-China relationship.
