China-Aid Low-Income Housing Project Phase Ⅱ St. Mark Site Completed

  On April 16th, the Completion Ceremony of China-Aid Low-Income Housing Project Phase II St. Mark site was held at Diamond, Victoria, St. Mark. Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada, H.E.Wei Hongtian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Grenada were present at the ceremony, witnessing the significant moment.

  In his speech, Ambassador Wei said that, with joint efforts from both sides, this project has achieved great progress despite the impact of Covid-19. The relationship between China and Grenada has been developing steadily for the past 16 years and the bilateral cooperation in various sectors has benefited both sides.

  Prime Minister Dr. Mitchell expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of the People's Republic of China for the continued support to deliver on the promise of affordable housing to the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

  The Low-Income Housing Project is a grant aid project by the Chinese government. There are 647 units of low-income houses located in 5 sites across the country in Phase II, with 130 units in St. Mark.
